According to Darlington Police Chief Jimmy Davis, a traffic stop on Woods Street in Darlington Thursday night resulted in a short chase followed by the arrest of a man on multiple charges, including drugs.

Davis said the officer argued with the man before finally being able to arrest him. The officers suffered some scratches and cuts.

Davis said his officer was checked by EMS as a precaution and is doing well.
