Viral baseball sensation Savannah Bananas is coming to Cincinnati in June 2025

The Savannah Bananas, a viral baseball sensation known for their unique style of play, are coming to the Queen City next summer. The team announced its 2025 “Banana Ball World Tour” on Thursday, with a stop in Cincinnati scheduled for June 13-14, 2025, at Great American Ball Park. Banana Ball is played a little differently than traditional baseball, with some strange rules that stipulate that each inning is worth one point. Whichever team wins each frame receives a point until the final inning, where every run counts. Additionally, no pennants are allowed in Banana Ball and if a fan catches a foul ball, it counts as an out. Originally a member of the Coastal Plain League, a summer college league featuring some of the best college players in the country, the Bananas left the league in 2022 to focus full-time on Banana Ball. It's not just rule changes that differentiate Banana Ball from a more traditional baseball game. Players perform choreographed dances, bats are lit, and the Banana Nanas senior dance team performs to enhance the gaming experience for fans. For tickets, interested fans are asked to sign up for the Banana Ball Ticket lottery list. To do this, click here.
