A North Fairmount man accused of murdering his father with an ax has been found unfit to stand trial and sentenced to treatment. It happened in August in the 2500 block of Linden Street, police said. Investigators say Joseph Rudd is accused of beating His father, Troy Rudd, was struck in the head and body with an ax before he allegedly turned off his electronic monitoring device and fled the scene. Joseph Rudd was arrested and charged with murder. On Thursday, a judge ordered Joseph to seek treatment at Summit Behavioral Health Services to restore his competency. Rudd is not due back in court until March 2025.
