Three teenagers were shot after a fight on Detroit's west side

DETROIT — Three teenagers were shot after a fight on Detroit's west side.

The incident occurred on Puritan Avenue and Wisconsin Street on Thursday (October 3) at 8:12 p.m.

Detroit Police Chief James White said officers from the 12th District arrived at the scene in less than five minutes.

“As they were leaving the location and walking up Puritan, near Wisconsin, a silver sedan approached and shot the three teenagers, ages 15, 16 and 17,” White said. “All three were hit and taken to an area hospital.”

White said they have good information and a good description of the vehicle and are currently searching for it.

“We will continue to search for the vehicle until we find who we are looking for,” White said.

White said they have secured video footage, closing the case immediately.

“We are confident that it can be completed and we are confident that no one in the community is at risk because they are isolated from this fight,” White said. “If anyone saw anything or was in the area, please contact our department and let us know.”
