Local truancy lawyer accused of sexual relationship with teen – WPXI

PITTSBURGH – A truancy lawyer is accused of having a sexual relationship with a teenager.

According to court documents, at the time the alleged relationship began, 32-year-old Britta Emberg worked for the Youth Advocate Program, which serves children, youth and families in Allegheny County.

According to court documents, the victim told a CYF caseworker in Allegheny County about the relationship years later, in July 2024.

According to investigators, the two were sexually involved for more than a year, beginning when Emberg was 27.

Court documents say they referred to each other as “wife” despite a nearly 13-year age difference. Emberg reportedly acknowledged their age difference and wanted to keep the relationship a secret.

Emberg is charged with multiple crimes, including involuntary deviate sexual intercourse.

Channel 11 reached out to YAP to see if Emberg is still employed there.
