The Hu premiere cover of “The Trooper”

Mongolian folk metal band The HU have honored their upcoming tourmates, British heavy metal icons Iron Maiden, with the release of a cover of the 1983 classic “The Trooper.” The track is accompanied by a newly released music video directed by Odin Wadleigh.

Estonian metalcore band Pridian announced their signing to Century Media this week. To celebrate the news, they released a music video for their single “Near Dark.” Current plans call for the band's debut album for the label to be released in early 2025.

Primal Code presents new single and music video

Chicago-based death metal trio Primal Code, the latest addition to Relapse Records' repertoire, have announced their debut album, Opaque Fixation, due out November 15th. The band have also unveiled a music video for their new track “Anapsid,” which you can stream on YouTube and Spotify below.

Sylosis surprises fans with new EP “The Path”

Powerhouse metal band Sylosis have surprise-released their new EP “The Path” ahead of their upcoming co-headlining tour with Fit For An Autopsy.

On the release of The Path, Josh Middleton comments:
“When we were working on ASOTTC, we accumulated a lot of material. It was a very creative time and the songs that didn't make it onto ASOTTC were by no means substandard – quite the opposite! We’re so excited to share it with us.” Her “The Path” EP. We hope you like it.”

The band have also released a video for their title track, which features Heriot's Debbie Gough, who will be joining the band in support across the UK and Europe.

On the EP's title track, Josh continues:
“'The Path' is about my love and obsession for heavy music Rabid Fan! I think it would have been taboo for me to write a song about something like that before. Perhaps compared to the band's previous lyrics it could be considered cheesy or “atypical” – a very important song for me. More…
