Despite this shorter time frame, Pyramid Head is a difficult encounter and there are some useful tips that can help any player who is having trouble.

Since the encounter is time-limited, if you have confidence in your evasion skills, you can simply avoid Pyramid Head and not lose any bullets.
Pyramid Head is obviously a character that focuses on close combat. Staying at a distance is safer, although his sword has a longer reach than you might think. You can hit him with melee attacks if you're feeling brave, although I wouldn't recommend that.
He can break through the cages and boxes, but you can't. Cover isn't really important in this room, but the time it takes him to break out is useful.
If he swipes horizontally, move backwards. If he makes an overhead swing, move to the side. When he tries to grab you – his deadliest attack – dodge to the right.
There are resources around the edges of the room that you can grab.
The darkness makes it surprisingly easy to lose track of where he is. Shine your flashlight on him, and if you lose him even for a moment, watch for the sword scraping across the ground.
As the fight progresses, the room begins to fall apart, pipes bursting and debris falling. This is a harmless scare tactic that depends on how long you have left – the more run down the arena is, the closer you are to the end.
