Two were stabbed in separate altercations in Lansing; The third incident of this kind this week

LANSING – Police investigated two stabbings Wednesday night and Thursday.

A 45-year-old man showed up at an emergency clinic with an arm injury around 10:45 p.m. Wednesday, Lansing Police Public Information Officer Jordan Gulkis said.

The incident reportedly occurred at a gas station in the area of ​​Waverly and Jolly streets in southwest Lansing. No one has been arrested in connection with the incident, she said.

In the other incident, a 39-year-old man was taken to a hospital with non-life-threatening leg injuries from a stabbing after officers were called to the area of ​​Cedar and Shiawassee streets around noon, Gulkis said.

No one was in custody during this incident, she said.

The stabbing was the third reported by police since early Wednesday. A 20-year-old man was stabbed near South Waverly and Miller streets around 1:30 a.m. Wednesday. He was stabbed in the shoulder, but his wound was not considered life-threatening, Gulkis said earlier this week.
