Right lane on I-70 remains closed after bizarre semi-truck accident – WHIO TV 7 and WHIO Radio

MONTGOMERY COUNTY – Traffic on Interstate 70 is still not back to normal after a bizarre accident Thursday.

We have LIVE updates from WHIO traffic reporter Jake Magnotta on how this could affect your commute this morning on News Center 7 Daybreak.

The left lane is open and the right lane is closed following a semi-accident on EB I-70 behind State Route 48 around 5:35 p.m

As reported on Thursday News Center 7 at 11a semi-trailer veered off the road and crashed into a guardrail and a signpost above it.

The impact caused the road sign to fall onto I-70 EB, blocking the road, Sgt. Ryan Purpura told News Center 7.

The accident caused a massive backlog and some semi-trucks were afraid to get their load to their destination.

“I am very disappointed. I am very panicked,” said Samuel Lülekal.
