Hit-and-run involving a pedestrian is under investigation in Stafford County


Stafford, VA – The Stafford County Sheriff's Office Traffic Safety Unit is currently investigating a hit-and-run accident involving a pedestrian. The event took place on Monday between 6:00 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. along southbound Warrenton Road, specifically between Marsh Road and Hartwood Church Road.

According to the victim, the perpetrator was driving a red SUV at a speed of approximately 50 miles per hour. Fortunately, the victim only suffered minor injuries as a result of the incident. The Sheriff's Office is actively seeking potential witnesses or anyone with information about the incident.

  • Newark police are asking for help identifying the theft suspect

    NEWARK, NJ - The Newark Department of Public Safety is asking for the public's assistance in identifying a suspect involved in the theft of a jacket at a local fast food restaurant. The incident occurred on Sunday when the suspect allegedly took a North Face jacket belonging to another customer.

    Police responded to a report of theft at the McDonald's in the 100 block of Ferry Street. The victim was reportedly eating breakfast around 9:30 a.m. Surveillance footage showed the suspect taking the jacket from an adjacent seat.
