Everyone still hates Chrisa new autobiographical animated comedy from Chris Rock and Comedy Central, has received its first trailer and premiere before its full indefinite release on Paramount+.

The show serves as a revival of the live-action comedy series Everyone hates Chriswhich ran from 2005 to 2009 and revolved around the teenage years of comedian Chris Rock, who also narrated the show. The show helped launch the career of Tyler James Williams (Abbott Elementary School), as well as to solidify Terry Crews (Brooklyn Nine-Nine, White chicks) as a comedic actor after his years in the NFL. Tichina Arnold (Little shop of horrors) as Chris' mother Rochelle, Tequan Richmond and Imani Hakim as Chris' siblings Drew and Tonya and Vincent Martella (Phineas and Ferb) as Chris' best friend Greg.

In the revival trailer, Rock promises that he has “more stories to tell about my family and the whole damn neighborhood,” suggesting that this series will tell new, original stories about Chris Rock's youth rather than animate stories that we have seen before. Weekly entertainment reports that it will pick up where the Everyone hates Chris Final finished. The comedian will also provide the voice-over in the same style as the original show. Tichina Arnold and Terry Crews will reprise their roles as Chris' parents, and Jacqueline Mazzarella returns as Principal Morello, while new young actors are brought in to voice the teenage characters.

Tim Johnson Jr. will voice teenager Chris, Ozioma Akagha as Tonya, Terrence Little Gardenhigh as Drew and Gunnar Sizmore as Greg. The show's guest stars include Ayo Edebiri (The bear, Bottoms)Jackee Harry (Sister, sister) and Busta Rhymes.

First announced in 2021, the show was written and produced by Sanjay Shah, who previously served as executive producer and co-showrunner of the Emmy-nominated Apple TV+ animated comedy Central Park. While the pilot of Everyone still hates Chris premiered on Comedy Central this week (September 25), the full show will be released on Paramount, but the date has yet to be determined.

Original episodes from Everyone hates Chris can be watched now on ITVX.
