Driver killed in west Toledo crash

According to police, the driver lost control of the vehicle while traveling west.

TOLEDO, Ohio – A crash on I-475 in west Toledo left one person dead Thursday evening.

According to a news release from Toledo Police, a 60-year-old driver was traveling westbound on I-475 near ProMedica Pkwy around 7:41 p.m. Police said the driver lost control of the vehicle, drove left across the lane and crashed into a concrete barrier.

The driver was taken to hospital and pronounced dead.

Police said in the report that they are continuing to investigate.
