Hezbollah communications. Chief Mohammad Sakafi killed in Beirut, Lebanon

Following Israel's attack on Thursday on Hezbollah's intelligence headquarters in Beirut, the military confirmed on Friday the elimination of Hezbollah's communications network chief Mohammad Rashid Sakafi.

Thursday's IAF attack on Beirut was carried out according to military intelligence and targeted Hezbollah sites involved in the group's intelligence operations, the IDF reported that day.

Sakafi, who was appointed head of Hezbollah's communications network in 2000, was a long-time member of the terrorist organization and had close ties to senior Hezbollah officials, the IDF noted.
