Erhan Aslan, an expert in applied linguistics who teaches at the University of Reading in the UK, has previously offered some useful advice on this Wordle Players in an interview with Newsweek.

“One thing I think is important in this game is the choice of starting word,” Aslan said. “It might be helpful to start with words that contain common vowels like e and a, consonants like r and t, and sound sequences.

“Choosing a word that starts with q, z, j, or x, for example, may not be the best choice. After a few guesses, you'll get more feedback. Users will need to draw on some knowledge of phonetics to narrow down or eliminate some words that they may be thinking about.
