Rochester man identified as victim in fatal motorcycle crash

ROCHESTER, MN (KROC-AM News) – A Rochester man was killed in a motorcycle accident in southeastern Minnesota Thursday evening.

It happened in Winona County. The State Patrol responded to the death shortly after 6 p.m

The motorcycle crashed on the highway. 74 about a mile south of I-90. 61-year-old Ross Anthony Stensrud was identified as a motorcyclist.

Stensrud was traveling north on the two-lane highway when he veered off the road. He was pronounced dead at the scene, the state accident report states.

State Patrol: Alcohol involved in motorcycle crash that killed a Rochester man near St. Charles

The State Patrol says the Rochester man was not wearing a helmet and that alcohol was a factor in the fatal crash.

The Winona County Sheriff's Office. The St. Charles Police Department and the St. Charles Fire Department also responded to the fatal motorcycle accident.
