West Old Plan Road in Columbia is reopening after an accident Friday morning

COLUMBIA, Missouri (KMIZ)

West Old Plank Road in southern Columbia has reopened after an accident closed the road for several hours Friday morning.

The road was reopened just before 6:30 a.m. after Columbia police responded to the scene and investigated.

Boone County Joint Communications sent out an alert at 2:28 a.m. that the road would be closed.

ABC 17 News crews arrived on scene at 3 a.m. and saw two vehicles with significant damage.

The emergency services on site also saw several police vehicles, a fire truck and an ambulance.
