Three teenagers have been arrested after a carjacking led to a police-involved crash

Baltimore police arrested three 17-year-olds in connection with a carjacking in Northeast Baltimore that led to a police-involved crash Tuesday.

The armed carjacking occurred in the 3000 block of Frisby Street around 10:35 p.m. on October 1st

Officials said the suspects approached the 21-year-old victim as they walked along the 3000 block of Frisby Street.

Officials said the suspects produced handguns and demanded the victim's property.

The suspects then got into the victim's Toyota and fled the scene. The police were unable to locate the vehicle.

At approximately 4:30 a.m. on October 2nd, officers from a crime prevention unit were alerted to a stolen vehicle traveling in the area of ​​Frankford Avenue at Belair Road.

Officers located the vehicle and attempted to conduct a traffic stop when the suspects attempted to flee from officers.

The suspect then crashed head-on into the patrol vehicle.

Officers arrested all three suspects after a short foot chase in the 1600 block of Sherwood Avenue.

The officer involved in the crash was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Two of the suspects were transported to the Juvenile Justice Center for processing, while the third suspect was transported to the Central Booking Intake Facility where he was charged as an adult with armed carjacking, use of a firearm in the commission of a felony and armed robbery.
