Donald Trump: Trump mocks widow of man killed at Butler rally in leaked audio: 'At least four couples…'

Donald Trump mocked the widow of Corey Comperatore, the man who took the bullet aimed at the former president at the Butler rally. In a leaked audio recording of a private dinner, Donald Trump was heard reflecting on the assassination attempt and then joking that even though Corey's wife received a lot of money in compensation, she preferred to keep her husband alive. Trump cheekily said he knew at least four couples in the room who were thrilled to receive the money – after their husbands were dead.
“So they're going to get millions of dollars, but the woman, the woman, this beautiful woman, I gave her the check – we gave her the check – and she said, 'That's so nice and I appreciate it 'But I would much rather have my husband.' “I know some of the women in this room wouldn’t say the same thing,” Donald Trump said.
“I know at least four couples. There are four pairs, Governor [Abbott]I know that and you are not one of them. “At least four couples here would have actually been thrilled,” said Donald Trump, as reported by the Guardian.
This was the dinner in Aspen, Colorado, where participants had to donate between $25,000 and $500,000 per couple.
Trump talked about many other things and one of them was a “false example” of 22 people he claimed came to the US after being released from prison in the Democratic Republic of Congo. “We said, 'Where are you from?' They said, “Prison.” 'What did you do?' “It’s none of your business what we did.” Do you know why? Because they are murderers.”
“These are the toughest people. These people come from Africa, from the Middle East. They come from all parts of Asia, the bad parts, the tough parts, and the only good thing is that they make our criminals look extremely nice. They make our Hell's Angels look like the nicest people in the world,” he said.
