Anonymous tip leads to drug bust in Elko

ELKO, Nev. (KOLO) – An anonymous tip led to a drug raid in Elko, according to Elko police.

Elko police said they conducted the search Thursday afternoon near Elementary School No. 2. According to the tip, residents of the apartment in the 600 block of Ash Street were dealing drugs and were possibly involved in an illegal prostitution ring.

Police said they found more than 50 fentanyl pills as well as methamphetamine. They say they also found a mobile home on the property that was confirmed to have been stolen out of the county.

Robert Cromer, 42, of Elko, was arrested on a mandatory warrant for probation and parole and possession of a controlled substance. He was booked into the Elko County Jail without bail. Also arrested was 34-year-old Nicole Morales of Elko. She was booked into the Elko County Jail on two counts of possession of a controlled substance. Her bond was set at $20,000.

It was ultimately determined that 41-year-old Jerry Latour was responsible for stealing the RV. He was located and booked into the Elko County Jail on a charge of grand larceny of a motor vehicle. His bail was set at $50,000.
