Baltimore City Circuit Court Judge Melissa K. Copeland has scheduled another hearing for the 20-year-old and 18-year-old co-defendants suspected of killing 19-year-old Darcell Mitchell in the 800 block of West Lexington Street.

Charles Bowen, 20, is charged with two counts of first-degree murder, armed robbery, conspiracy to commit armed robbery and use of a firearm in a serious violent crime.

Davon Butler, 18, is charged with two counts of first-degree murder: armed robbery, conspiracy to commit armed robbery, use of a firearm in a serious violent crime, carrying a handgun, carrying a loaded handgun and possession of a firearm as a minor and illegal possession of a regulated one Firearm for the February 20 murder.

The couple also has another co-defendant, a 17-year-old teenager.

The two co-defendants will appear at a joint hearing to determine whether they will be tried together before Judge Robert K. Taylor, Jr. on October 29.

Butler's attorney, Andre Mahasa, was in another trial on Oct. 4 and did not represent his client in today's proceedings.

According to a news release from the Baltimore Police Department, the co-defendants were arrested in early March for their alleged involvement in Mitchell's death.
