Columbia man arrested after shots fired at apartment complex

COLUMBIA, Missouri (KMIZ)

Columbia police arrested a 25-year-old man early Friday after shots were fired along Clark Lane.

Officers were dispatched to the 4800 block of Clark Lane just before 2 a.m. for shots fired, a Columbia Police Department news release said. Jalen Scuefield, 25, of Columbia, was arrested on suspicion of discharging a weapon within city limits, according to police.

Police found evidence of gunshots, but did not find any injuries or property damage, the press release said.

No information about the charges was available in online court records Friday afternoon.

An ABC 17 News team saw officers searching the area and at least seven CPD vehicles at an apartment complex.

The crime scene was cleared before 3 a.m
