Packers injury report: Christian Watson, Romeo Doubs doubtful vs. Rams

Green Bay Packers head coach Matt LaFleur said earlier this week that the Packers had “dodged a bullet” with the injury to receiver Christian Watson, but also mentioned that the pass catcher would likely be out for “at least a week.” On Friday, Green Bay officially listed Watson, who had not participated in practice all week due to an ankle injury, as questionable for this weekend's game against the Los Angeles Rams.

That's relatively good news on the injury front, considering Watson's injury on Sunday looked like a potential season-ender. In addition to the question mark surrounding Watson's status, the Packers also have another situation to keep an eye on: Romeo Doubs. Doubs missed the last two practices for personal reasons and was also listed as questionable for Sunday's game, which is an away game the Packers will travel to tomorrow.

If Green Bay is without Watson and Doubs, the remaining receivers on their 53-man roster will be Jayden Reed, Dontayvion Wicks, Bo Melton and Malik Heath. The Packers also have three practice squad options for elevation, but the team has never used them in a game before.

Defensive tackle Devonte Wyatt was the only player on the 53-man roster to miss Friday's game against the Rams. Wyatt left last week's game with an ankle injury and was seen wearing a walking boot in the locker room after the loss to the Minnesota Vikings. He didn't train with the team this week.

Seven Packers were listed as questionable today: tight end Luke Musgrave, left guard Elgton Jenkins, offensive lineman Jordan Morgan, defensive tackle Jonathan Ford, linebacker Edgerrin Cooper, cornerback Jaire Alexander and cornerback Carrington Valentine. Morgan, Alexander and Valentine were all inactive last week due to injuries, indicating an improvement in their status. Ford is not technically a member of the 53-man roster, as his 21-day training window opened when he returned to practice from injured reserve earlier this week.

Only two Rams received status this weekend: receiver Cooper Kupp (ankle) and defensive end Larrell Murchison (forearm/foot). Both players will miss the game against Green Bay. Without Kupp and Puka Nakua, who is already on injured reserve, Los Angeles' receiver room will be shorthanded in this game. The Rams also have five offensive linemen on injured reserve.
