Katie Santry has finally discovered what's hidden in the carpet buried under her house.

The 34-year-old Columbus, Ohio native first went viral on TikTok after sharing a video of herself and her boyfriend Brandon finding a carpet buried deep in the ground while building a fence in their yard. After some deliberation about how to handle the situation, Santry finally decided to call the police. On Thursday, October 3, investigators arrived at her home with cadaver dogs.

Santry livestreamed the update on TikTok, capturing footage of two cadaver dogs sitting at the spot where the rug was found. The sight shocked Santry and the 100,000 viewers watching the livestream. She also shared more about the investigation in a TikTok video that went viral with 8.2 million views.

On Friday, October 4, a group of police officers and investigators returned to Santry's home to dig. And after keeping her followers in suspense, Santry finally gets answers and reveals to the world what the team discovered.

“They recovered the hole and it was the most absurd, crazy experience of my life,” Santry says in a TikTok video. “What did they find? No, they didn't find a body, they found a mother wiping the carpet with some rubber. The question remains why the dogs were sitting. I don't know it. Both dogs, not just one, two. I don't know. The other question is who broke my laptop,” she adds, referring to an incident at her house where her computer was mysteriously destroyed.

“I’m so confused,” she continues. “There is no body, there is no body. Honestly, let's praise the Lord that there is no body. I can stay in my house…everyone knows where I live, but at least it’s not haunted.”

“But the mystery of the damn carpet is solved and there is no body,” she continues. “And they do a good job of storing my stuff.”

Ahead of the conclusion, Santry, who now has nearly 2 million followers on TikTok and 40,000 followers on Instagram, told PEOPLE in a previous interview that before going to the police, she did her own research and investigation.

After finding the rug, she first tracked down her home's agent and spoke to the daughter of the original homeowners. She learned that the house was built in 1967 and only one family had lived there before her. From their conversation, the previous family had no idea why the carpet was buried; Although they had dogs, no one had ever dug at the site, and all were cremated upon death, so the idea of having a pet buried there was ruled out.

Next, Santry decided to have her own digging party with her friends to see what they could find. At the time, she told PEOPLE that if they couldn't dig up the carpet themselves, she would eventually give up.

She said: “If I dig in one direction I'll come across a rock fire pit which would ruin everything. If I dig the other way, just two feet above, there's a bush taller than me – about 10 feet.”

“I've already ruined a tree, which really upset some farmers on TikTok because apparently bloodthirsty trees are very expensive,” she added. “I don't want to kill another bush, so to be honest I'm torn. If I post a post there and then something else weird happens, now there's cement on top of it and I'm kind of stuck trying to figure it out again.” . So I think, okay, let's just stop and think about what to do.
