9to5Google pointed out that many YouTube account holders have reported losing access to YouTube content. YouTube immediately followed up these reports with a support thread that confirmed that bugs existed and affected many aspects of the platform, such as access to paid features such as YouTube TV, YouTube Premium, and YouTube Music.

In addition, the errors also affected other YouTube functions, such as playlists. Along with the deletion of certain channels, these errors also resulted in videos being removed from the platform. Affected users reportedly received unclear instructions from YouTube that ultimately did not help restore their accounts. Additionally, another user claimed that there was no way to appeal YouTube's decision.
