Second-ranked Auburn rolls into Phenix City and beats No. 1 Central

In a game that featured nearly a half-mile of total offense, No. 1-ranked Central-Phenix City was denied a crucial yardage when it mattered most, and Auburn's Jackson Kilgore and Omar Mabson made the Red Devils pay.

Kilgore was 14 of 20 passing for 275 yards and three touchdowns – the last of which came on a 50-yarder to Mabson coming out of the backfield to give the Tigers the lead for good midway through the third quarter – as the No. 2 seed No. 1-ranked Auburn defeated Central 38-33 on Friday night at Garrett Harrison Stadium in a showdown of Class 7A's top teams.
