Several people were injured and one died in an accident at the JTB on Friday evening

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – One person is dead and others are injured in a crash on J. Turner Butler Boulevard at Belford Road, Jacksonville Fire and Rescue said on social media.

JFRD said multiple vehicles were involved in the accident and several patients were being treated at the scene

According to the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office, all westbound lanes of the JTB were closed at Southside Boulevard as of 10:15 p.m. Friday evening.

All traffic was diverted to the Southside, JSO said.
