Man charged over alleged road rage incident

According to police, a man was arrested and charged with assault and firearms offenses

A man was arrested Thursday in connection with a suspected road rage incident, Maryland State Police said. The alleged victim told officers the driver pointed a gun at them while they were traveling on Interstate 695. David Belt, Jr., 41, of White Hall was charged with first- and second-degree assault and other firearms offenses. Officers found Belt's vehicle Thursday night, arrested him and took him to the Baltimore County Detention Center, police said. Officers found two handguns recovered during the arrest.

A man was arrested Thursday in connection with a suspected road rage incident, Maryland State Police said.

The alleged victim told troopers that the driver pointed a gun at her while driving on Interstate 695.

David Belt, Jr., 41, of White Hall, was charged with first- and second-degree assault and other firearms offenses.

Officers found Belt's vehicle Thursday evening, arrested him and took him to the Baltimore County Detention Center, police said.

During the arrest, police found two recovered handguns.
