Six shootings in Vicksburg/Warren County since Sunday

VICKSBURG, MS – Shots were reported at Letitia and Speed ​​shortly before 12 p.m. today. This is the same area where there were reports of shots fired on Sunday. This is one of six shootings since Sunday evening.

Officer Curtis Judge of the Vicksburg Police Department admitted at the scene that a vehicle initially believed to have been damaged in today's shooting was damaged in Sunday's incident.

Police Chief Penny Jones confirmed to the Vicksburg Daily News that there is an injury related to this incident.

There were also two separate reports of shots fired in the county last night. One near Azalea Trace and another report on Highway 80 that officials could not confirm.

At this time, no arrests have been made in connection with today's shooting. Three arrests were made at the scene of the shooting on Warrenton Road early Monday morning.
