A man was shot during a fight in River North, police said

CHICAGO (CBS) – A man is dead after a fight turned into a shooting overnight in River North.

The incident occurred around 3:40 a.m. in the 0-100 block of West Hubbard Street.

Chicago police said the victim, a 24-year-old man, was arguing with another person who pulled out a gun and fired in his direction.

The victim was struck in the body and taken to Northwestern Hospital, where he died.

Police said detectives were interviewing a person of interest.
