Fatal overnight crash and vehicle fire in Oak Creek, 1 dead

Accident scene near 22nd and Ryan

A man is dead after a crash in Oak Creek early Saturday morning, October 5th.

According to Oak Creek police, the accident occurred around 2:38 a.m. near 22nd and Ryan Road; This is right at the motorway exit.

When officers arrived, they saw a vehicle fully engulfed in flames and the driver trapped inside the vehicle, unconscious.

The officers tried to get the driver out and put out the fire at the same time.

The driver was pulled from the vehicle and life-saving measures were performed, but the driver was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver was identified as a 32-year-old man from Alabama.

A preliminary investigation revealed that the driver, who was the only person in the vehicle, was traveling west when he left the road and struck a light pole.

No other vehicles were involved.
