F&G is seeking information about grizzly bear killings in Clark County west of Island Park Reservoir

On September 2, an adult female grizzly bear was found shot to death in Clark County near Lower Shotgun Road in the Willow Creek watershed west of Island Park Reservoir. Fish and Game is asking the public for information about the incident and would like to hear from anyone who heard or saw anything.

“We rely on the public to help us protect their natural resources,” said Barry Cummings, regional conservation officer. “No detail is too small. If you know anything about this incident, please call.” Grizzly bears are protected by both state and federal law, as Idaho is currently not in season for hunting.

Anyone with information about the incident is asked to call the Upper Snake Regional Office at 208-525-7290 or the Citizen's Against Poaching hotline at 1-800-632-5999 or report online. Callers may remain anonymous and a reward is offered for tips that forward a quote.I am
