The Hammond man was arrested and is now charged with second-degree murder

On Friday around 9:30 p.m., Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff's deputies responded to the 12000 block of Oakhill Road in Kentwood after someone reported a fight. However, when they arrived, they discovered that 38-year-old Renaldo Brumfield had been shot. Officers immediately arrested 41-year-old Gerald Harvey, who was identified as the suspect. Harvey is now charged with second-degree murder. It's unclear what led to the fight that led to a shooting. However, this incident is still under investigation.
