40-year-old Clifton Park woman arrested for drug possession and six counts of assault

Erica M. Lyon, 40, of Clifton Park, was arrested Wednesday by the Saratoga County Sheriff's Office on multiple counts of drug possession and assault.

Police said they responded to an assault call on Ashdown Road in Clifton Park at 6.08pm on September 30, the investigation of which led to Lyon's arrest.

Lyon is accused of using a deadly weapon or dangerous instrument to intentionally cause bodily harm to another, the sheriff's office said.

She is also charged with knowingly and unlawfully possessing a controlled substance with intent to sell, possessing an eighth of an ounce or more of methamphetamine and possessing a controlled substance with a total weight of one-half ounce or more, police said.

The sheriff's office said Lyon has been charged with six counts of third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and one count of second-degree assault.

The attack victim was taken to Ellis Hospital for evaluation and treatment of a non-life-threatening injury, police said.

Lyon was arraigned in Clifton Park Municipal Court and remanded to the Saratoga County Jail pending further proceedings.
