Missouri QB Brady Cook sparks viral comment among Aggies fans

Ahead of the upcoming A&M matchup between Missouri and Texas in Week 6, Tigers quarterback Brady Cook made a viral comment that sent A&M fans into a frenzy.

In an Oct. 1 press release, Cook compared the artificial noise emitted over the loudspeakers during Mizzou practice to the volume of a stadium. He said the noise in his practices is louder.

“The noise during practice is actually louder,” Cook said (h/t Yahoo Sports). “They put these big speakers about two feet right behind me and I mean you can't hear anything, it's loud. In stadiums it's loud, but it's like a kind of distant environment, so it's a little bit different. I think it's just as loud or louder and harder to communicate. We did that on every single rep this week.

Texas A&M fans were outraged by Brady Cook's comments

Kyle Fieldshome of the Aggies, is one of the loudest stadiums in college football. Of course, most A&M fans viewed Cook's comments as a sign of great disrespect. The Tigers can now expect an even more hostile environment than expected as Aggies fans try to make Cook's practice noises look like child's play.

Ahead of this blockbuster SEC showdown, there has been official shake-up. Mizzou is a slight underdog on the road despite its superior ranking. The ninth-placed Tigers start the season 4-0 and will try to stay undefeated with a clear win.

Despite their 4-1 record, the 25th-ranked Aggies struggled to find an offensive rhythm. In their last win over Arkansas, their offense amassed less than 300 total yards

With both teams vulnerable in different areas, die-hard college football fans should be in for a truly intriguing matchup. Cook's recent comments, whether he intended them or not, have only added fuel to the fire.

Former Texas linebacker and NFL veteran Sam Acho once called Kyle Field “the loudest place I've ever played.” It might feel like this in Week 6 for Brady Cook.
