USC Football plans to have Missouri State open the 2025 football season

LOS ANGELES-USC Football has added Missouri State as a future home opponent, the athletic department announced today (October 2).

The Missouri State Bears will visit the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum on August 30, 2025 to open the 2025 football season.

While Missouri State is currently in its final year in the Missouri Valley Football Conference (FCS), it will officially join Conference USA for the 2025-26 sports season, making it an FBS program.

This will be the first time ever that USC faces Missouri State.


USC's record in all season openers is 99-24-8 (.786) with 36 shutout wins. In the season opener at home, the Trojans are 70-16-7 (.790). (Does not include 1 win lost due to NCAA penalty; original record: 100-24-8, .788 overall.)
