World champion vows to 'destroy Terence Crawford's legacy': 'I'll fight you for nothing'

Terence Crawford is considered by many to be the best fighter in boxing. Therefore, there is a long list of challengers who want a chance at the throne.

“Bud” followed up his undisputed welterweight victory over Errol Spence Jr last year, moving up to the 154th ranking to fight and beat Israil Madrimov for the WBA belt.

This was the fourth league in which he became world champion, undisputed in two games, and his 41st victory in a 41-fight season that began in 2008.

At 37 years old, he doesn't have many fights left before he hangs up the gloves. One man who is desperate to fill the opposition corner before that happens is Teofimo Lopez.

The Brooklyn native has stated that he would be willing to move up to super welterweight to make the fight possible, and he recently managed to get under Crawford's skin during an altercation outside the ring.

Responding to a post in which Crawford made fun of his alleged feud with promotional team Top Rank, Lopez said he would fight the pound-for-pound star for free.

“Laugh now, cry later. Terence Crawford, I will fight you for free. Destroying your legacy is worth more than money to me! You’ve always been a fan.”

The 27-year-old two-weight world champion is doing his best to talk himself into a fight, but Crawford still has his sights set on a fight with Saul “Canelo” Alvarez. Failing that, he is currently in the negotiating stages for a super welterweight tie against Sebastian Fundora, who will seek offers if an agreement cannot be reached.
