In the main event of UFC 307 on Saturday, Alex Pereira takes on Khalil Rountree Jr. with “Poatan” looking to continue his winning streak in the Octagon.

Pereira is now considered one of the best pound-for-pound fighters in the world after winning the light heavyweight title at UFC 295, and a devastating knockout of Jiri Prochazka at UFC 303 cemented his status as one of the most feared men in the world MMA.

But now Rountree represents a new test and an exciting matchup after Dana White promoted “The War Horse” into this title fight after serving a four-month ban for a failed drug test.

Other star fighters in action include Raquel Pennington defending her bantamweight title against former world champion Julianna Pena, Jose Aldo against Mario Bautista, Kevin Holland with Roman Dolidze and fan favorite Stephen “Wonderboy” Thompson also in action.

Dana White confirms Conor McGregor's UFC comeback plan

UFC president Dana White has insisted Conor McGregor will fight in 2025 after the former champion's return suffered another setback this week.

In February 2023, it was announced that McGregor would next fight Michael Chandler, however no date for the fight was confirmed – until April of this year. After UFC 300, White said McGregor would face Chandler in June.

“Yes,” he said. “In 2024 I wasn’t at 100 percent, but in 2025 I am. It's just me.

“I know more than you. I am 100 percent confident that McGregor will fight next year.”
