Millbrook Middle School teacher Austin R. Dorberth was arrested and charged with harassment and criminal mischief for pushing a student.

MILLBROOK, Ala. (WSFA) – A Millbrook Middle School teacher was arrested after pushing a student, according to the Millbrook Police Department.

On Thursday, Millbrook police received a complaint from a parent of a Millbrook Middle School student about an “altercation” between a 13-year-old student and a teacher. The parent claims the two had a verbal argument before the teacher, Austin R. Dorberth, 27, of Millbrook, approached the student and physically shoved him, causing him to drop his cell phone and “out of his shoes.” came out.”

After a complaint was filed, arrest warrants were issued for Dorberth on charges of third-degree harassment and criminal coercion.

On Friday, Dorberth turned himself in to Millbrook police, who arrested him. He has since been released on bail.
