Williams County accident results in multiple serious injuries: OSHP

JEFFERSON TOWNSHIP, Ohio (WTVG) – Three people are recovering in separate hospitals following a crash in Williams County Sunday afternoon, according to the Ohio State Highway Patrol.

It happened around 5:12 p.m. in Jefferson Township at the intersection of US 127 and County Road I.50.

Troopers said an 18-year-old from Montpelier, Ohio, failed to yield at the stop sign. She was struck in the intersection by a car driven by a woman from Convoy, Ohio. Both vehicles exited the east side of U.S. 127, OSHP said.

The 18-year-old was taken to Bryan Hospital and later flown to Parkview Regional Hospital in Fort Wayne, Indiana with serious injuries.

The other driver and her passenger were also taken to Bryan Hospital. Her passenger was later flown to ProMedica Toledo Hospital with serious injuries.

The crash is still under investigation.
