DDG says he would advise his 22-year-old self to stay single, video shows

Halle Bailey has not publicly discussed the alleged separation from her son's father, DDGstill. However, a third piece of content involving the streamer has already gone viral. First, it was the reveal of the breakup on Instagram Stories. Then there was the leaked post where he was supposedly talking about Halle. Now, a clip from DDG's latest podcast episode shows him talking about his changing attitude toward relationships as a teenager.

Here's what DDG would advise his younger self

On the fourth episode of No Ordinary Podcast, the streamer gave some advice to another streamer named Jay Cinco. If he could, DDG said, he would tell his 22-year-old self to avoid a romantic commitment.

“…It's best for you to be single during these years of your life so you can really struggle. Nobody's going nowhere…unless a girl gets a new n***a or something…whoever you like at that moment, but get your ducks in a row first and grind and don't put any restrictions.”

DDG added that there are limitations and expectations when you're committed to a relationship, especially when it comes to work-life balance. “You always have to be considerate of their feelings, so you can't really work the way you want, and if I could tell myself something at 22, I would tell myself not to get into a relationship because it's almost like that , as if you had a part-time job. You really have to put in a lot of time and effort.” he added.

Additionally, streamer Jay Cinco gave the example of a friend who takes a stand when her husband “makes videos all day.” He said such relationship issues can impact content production and everyday life.

“If I was 22, I would say to myself, 'Brother, just let it go and let a relationship happen.' But that only happens when you feel good about yourself as a man,” said DDG. “I feel like you shouldn't get into a relationship until you feel like you can't DM your girlfriend and take her. For example, if you feel like there’s someone brighter and sturdier than you out there who can fuck your girl, then you’re not working hard enough.”

Streamer sparked the whole breakup discussion with THIS post

Meanwhile, this isn't the first time DDG has advised Jay Cinco to prioritize everyday life over the ladies and love. About three weeks ago, Jay talked about being single again during a stream. Halle's alleged ex-husband responded to the stream by repeating some of the same advice from the clip above.

Note that Rubi Rose was apparently in the picture when DDG was 22 in 2020. In a video uploaded on February 14, 2020, the two met for the first time on a blind date arranged by Rubi's former girlfriend Lala Baptiste.

Fast forward to this week. The podcast episode debuted on October 3, the same day DDG announced his split from Halle Bailey on his Instagram Stories. In his post, the streamer hinted that the split was mutual.

“After much thought and heartfelt discussions, Halle and I have decided to go our separate ways. This decision wasn't easy, but we believe it is the best path for both of us. “I really appreciated the time we spent together and the love we shared,” the message reads.

Additionally, the streamer said they continue to be “best friends and adore each other.” They also hope to move forward while focusing on their individual paths and co-parenting their young son. halo.

On Friday (October 4th), a post appeared online that appeared to show DDG talking badly about Halle in his “Close Friends” Instagram Stories. He has since commented on the post and denied that it was made by him.
