Weezer and Sharon Van Etten Share New Tom Petty Covers from the 'Bad Monkey' Soundtrack: Listen

Bad monkeythe Apple TV+ comedy noir show starring Vince Vaughn, is set in the Florida Keys and has a funny gimmick. The show's soundtrack is a tribute album dedicated to the late, Florida great Tom Petty, and each episode features other notable artists covering Petty's songs. This soundtrack comes out every week, so we've already posted “Room At The Top” by Eddie Vedder, “You're Gonna Get It” by Jason Isbell, “You Wreck Me” by War On Drugs and… Kurt Vile's “Sins Of My Youth”. The season is almost over and the full soundtrack album is now available, which means we can still hear a few more covers.

We've heard so many songs from Bad monkey soundtrack, but the full album release means we're getting a few more. Weezer, a band with many covers in its arsenal, tackled “Here Comes My Girl” by Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers. Damn the torpedoes Classic. Meanwhile, Sharon Van Etten shared her version of Petty's oft-covered solo Full moon fever anthem “I Won’t Back Down.” Listen to both covers below.
