Authorities said Caruso was driving at speeds exceeding 100 miles per hour and did not stop. He was known to be living in a hotel and it was decided it would be safer to arrest him at a later date, police said.

Caruso was arrested at Extended Stay America without incident, police said. He is accused of disobeying a police officer, acting as a habitual offender and the crimes of reckless behavior and misuse of license plates.

Police said Caruso had several outstanding warrants from Massachusetts and New Hampshire.
