Jon Jones looks ripped ahead of fight with Stipe Miocic at UFC 309

Jon Jones is ready to put his heavyweight on the line for the first time against Stipe Miocic in a fight that pits two of the sport's all-time greatest fighters against each other.

And while many believe Tom Aspinall is a far more deserving opponent, the polarizing champion apparently takes the Cleveland native very seriously.

When Jones first moved up to heavyweight to face Ciryl Gane, it seemed like he had some excess weight around his waist.

But that all seems to be over and the 37-year-old appears to be close to the best shape of his life.

Jones uploaded a picture to his Instagram story showing off his toned body, and many fans are now of the opinion that the rest of the division is in trouble.

One person wrote: “Jon Jones officially has six pack abs again. Game over heavyweights,” while another added: “Jones looking lean and mean.”

A third commented: “Run for the hills Jon Jones is fighting back,” and a fourth claimed: “He's in the best shape I've ever seen him in.”

Chael Sonnen says Jon Jones vs Tom Aspinall will take place

Even though Jones is in great shape, the MMA community is still upset with Jones.

With the legend showing little interest in a showdown with Aspinall, fans are beginning to conclude that a duel between the two will never happen.

However, Chael Sonnen is still adamant that the couple will agree to a big showdown at some point.

He recently explained why he believes Jones will sign on the dotted line.
