California Golden Bears vs. Miami (FL) Hurricanes: How to watch college football online, TV channel, live stream information, start time

3rd quarter report

After a tough road loss in their last game, California looks much better on their home field today. They have some cushion as they currently lead Miami (FL) 35-18. California's offense has been firing on all cylinders so far, surpassing its point total from two weeks ago with game time remaining.

If California keeps playing like this, they will increase their record to 4-1 in no time. On the other hand, Miami (FL) will have to settle for a 5-1 record unless they turn things around (and quickly).

What you should know

California will play in front of their home fans on Saturday, but a look at the spread shows they may need that home advantage. They and the Miami (FL) Hurricanes will face off in an ACC battle at California Memorial Stadium at 10:30 p.m. ET. Both have allowed only a few points on average (the Golden Bears: 12.8, the Hurricanes: 15), so any points scored are well earned.

California heads into this game after oddsmakers set last week's over/under low at 44, but even that ended up being too high. They took a 14-9 hit against Florida State. The Golden Bears gained 126 more yards on the day, but it was the Seminoles who took full advantage of them.

Special Teams was responsible for all of the team's points. All of those points came from Ryan Coe: He added nine points with three field goals. His longest score was a 50-yard strike in the third quarter.

Meanwhile, Miami (FL) made yet another attempt to keep its perfect season alive last Friday. They managed a 38:34 victory over Virginia Tech. The 38-point win was the Hurricanes' lowest-scoring contest of the season, but in the end that didn't matter.

Cam Ward was outstanding as usual, throwing for 343 yards and four touchdowns while also throwing for a touchdown on the ground. When it comes to passing yards, Ward is awesome: he's passed for at least 304 every time he takes the field this season.

Miami (FL) moved up and down the field and finished the game with 508 total yards (overall, they rank second in total yards per game). This strong performance was nothing new for the team: It has now gained at least 508 total yards in five consecutive games.

California lost for the first time this season, falling 3-1. Miami (FL) increased its record to 5-0 with the victory, which was its third home win in a row.
