Viral Video: TikTok Star's Final Moments Caught on Camera; Internet users react: “Inattention can be fatal”

TikTok star Arina Glazunova from Russia has died after a fatal fall in an underpass in Georgia's capital Tbilisi. The 27-year-old social media influencer fell victim to the tragic incident after she tripped while filming a video with her friends.

The force of the fall into the knee-high wall of a subway staircase was so violent that she was killed.

The viral video of the tragic episode is doing the rounds online and has sparked numerous reactions regarding safety concerns regarding the structure. The footage captures Arina Glazunova's final moments as she strolls through the city with her friend while filming a video clip.

Paradoxically, the TikTok star sang in the video “For The Last Time” by the Russian boy band Hunger Boys. According to local media reports, she was immediately taken to hospital but succumbed to head injuries and a broken neck.

The clip below captures the dark twist of fate and her friend's reaction as the TikTok star falls headfirst down the concrete stairs. Arina Glazunova can be heard screaming, followed by panicked voices from her friends and then the screen fading out.

The video showing the horrific incident has over 147.8 thousand views and numerous comments. Reacting to the deadly small railing which failed to do its job and prevent the fall, one user said: “A bit shocking that there is no sort of railing or guard there, just a tripping hazard a few centimeters high.”

Another user commented: “This is why you shouldn't complain about building regulations.” A third user commented: “I can't believe there is no railing around this huge opening above the stairs, just a tiny 'raised edge'.” How can people make things so bad (even worse at night)?”

A fourth user wrote: “Inattention can be fatal.” A fifth user said: “Very classy to cover up the 'mess' with flowers.”

Residents expressed concern about the site's vulnerability to further accidents, claiming that the site was dangerous, that you “can't see the barrier in the dark” and that it would be surprising “if this was the first time” that someone had fallen were. However, the city's mayor, Kakha Kaladze, emphasized that the underpasses through Tbilisi meet modern safety standards.

Meanwhile, Tbilisi City Hall claimed that the structure was built during the Soviet era and met safety standards at the time Daily Mail reported.
