Video shows fire starting from a Frontier flight after landing in Las Vegas

Video showed flames emerging from beneath a Frontier plane that landed hard in Las Vegas after reports of smoke in the cockpit on Saturday, officials said.

Flight 1326 was en route from San Diego to Las Vegas when “the pilots noticed smoke and declared an emergency,” Frontier said in a statement.

According to the Federal Aviation Administration, there were reports of smoke in the cockpit before the Airbus 321 made an emergency landing at Harry Reid International Airport.

The airport was the intended destination of the flight.

The flight “experienced a hard landing” and the Clark County Fire Department responded immediately, said Amanda Mazzagatti, airport program administrator for Harry Reid.

The aircraft landed safely and all passengers and crew on board were evacuated via the air stairs. They were then taken to the terminal by bus.

According to the airline and the airport, no injuries were reported.

The incident occurred around 4:20 p.m. local time. According to the FAA, a ground stop was in effect at the airport until 7 p.m. Saturday.

A video of the incident posted on social media shows the plane taxiing on the tarmac, with flames and smoke appearing to come from the underside of the plane near its wheels. Behind it follows a thick plume of smoke.

The video showed fire trucks approaching the plane as it came to a stop and spraying it to put out the fire.

The cause of the incident is under investigation. The FAA is investigating.
