One person died in a car and motorcycle accident overnight

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KRDO) — The Colorado Springs Police Department (CSFD) reports one person has died in an overnight crash at US 24 Frontage Road and West Cimarron Street.

According to CSPD, officers were dispatched to the scene of the accident on October 5, 2024 at approximately 8:45 p.m. Members of the Colorado Springs Fire Department (CSFD) and American Medical Response (AMR) provided medical aid to one of the drivers before taking them to a local hospital.

According to CSPD, it was learned at the scene that the driver, who was taken to the hospital, had died.

The CSPD Major Crash Team has taken over the investigation. Alcohol and speed are being considered as possible factors in the investigation.
