Cocaine worth Rs 10, lucky car seized in Amritsar – India TV

The Special Cell of Delhi Police conducted raids in a village in Punjab'a Amritsar and recovered cocaine worth Rs 10 crore and a luxury car. The raids were part of the Delhi drug syndicate probe that uncovered a drug cartel worth Rs 5,000 crore in the national capital.

The seizure of cocaine worth Rs 10 came following a tip-off from Jitendra alias Jassi, who was arrested at Amritsar airport.

Pay attention to the circular against a Dubai-based businessman

Earlier, Delhi Police on Friday issued a Lookout Circular (LOC) against an Indian-origin Dubai-based businessman suspected of being involved in a drug cartel busted in the national capital worth Rs 5,000 crore.

The suspect, identified as Virender Basoya, is believed to be in Dubai. He is said to have been running the business from there with the help of Tushar Goyal and Jitender Gill alias Jassi, both of whom have been arrested.

A senior police officer privy to the investigation, while confirming the LOC against Basoya, stated that the police were trying to nab the other co-accused in the drug syndicate.

Earlier on Wednesday, police claimed to have seized over 560 kg of cocaine and 40 kg of hydroponic marijuana weighing 602 kg and estimated to be worth around Rs 5,620 crore from a basement in south Delhi's Mahipalur.

Goyal, who owns the property, was arrested on the same day along with Himanshu Kumar (27) and Aurangzeb Siddiqui (23) from Delhi and Bharat Kumar Jain (48) from Mumbai. Another accused, Jassi, was arrested from Amritsar in Punjab on Thursday.
