Drugs worth $215 million seized in Bhopal, India, days after the $667 million bust in Delhi

Just days after drugs worth $667 million were seized in the national capital Delhi, authorities have recovered a large quantity of MD drugs (mephedrone) and raw materials worth Rs 1,814 crore from a factory near the center US dollars) from which they were made confiscated Indian city of Bhopal.

The operation to seize the drugs was carried out jointly by the Gujarat Anti-Terrorist Squad (ATS) and the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB), said Gujarat Home Minister Harsh Sanghavi.

“Kudos to Gujarat ATS and NCB (Ops), Delhi, for a massive victory in the war against drugs! Recently, they raided a factory in Bhopal and confiscated MD and materials used in manufacturing MD totaling ₹1814 crores!” Sanghavi said on X (formerly Twitter).
