1 dead, 8 injured in terrorist attack in Beersheba, Israel, second such incident in a week

At least one person was shot dead and eight others injured in a suspected mass terror attack at a bus station in Israel's Beersheba district on Sunday. The suspected attacker was “neutralized” by security forces, The Times of Israel reported citing the police.

Eyewitnesses told the news agency that nine people were initially injured in the suspected terrorist attack, one of them seriously. Later, one person succumbed to his injuries while the remaining victims were taken to Soroka Hospital.

Israel's national rescue, disaster, ambulance and blood service, Magen David Adom (MDA), said its paramedics at the scene were treating injured people of varying degrees of severity.
